Juniors

General Club Information

We meet at Clennon Valley Leisure Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are exceptions, so please contact us before arriving for the first time.

 

  • Tuesdays at 6.25pm to start at 6.30pm
 – meet at the flagpoles for speed and endurance training
  • Thursdays at 6.35pm to start at 6.45pm
 – meet inside the reception area near the main desk
  • Run 6-8 miles in groups (medium, fast). Wide variety of local routes
  • If you are interested in a 4-5 mile run/ walk group, please get in touch.
  • Juniors meet on Mondays between 6-8pm at Churston Ferrers Grammar School.

“I have been doing athletics for roughly four years with SDAC. The coaches are very supportive and encouraging with athletes’ progress. There is a wide range of activities covered within the sessions, and athletes are encouraged to help even if they are not able to take part in the certain sports for the session. Sportshall events are always a fun experience to meet people from different clubs and learn from others. The Pearson Cup is also an enjoyable experience for the younger age groups. The club allowed me to do the physical part of my Bronze DofE and has helped me improve with my throwing and jumping. I look forward to the rest of my time at the club and cannot wait to see how much I will improve from where I am now.”

  • Run / walk 4-5 miles - ideal for beginners or for those returning from injury' to 'If you are interested in a 4-5 mile run / walk group, please get in touch

New members are always welcome... come along for a few free trial sessions!
Please note: There is currently a waiting list for Juniors but there are spaces available for U15 and U17 males and females. Please contact us via the 'CONTACT US' web form to find out more.
