Rob ‘The Rocket’ Foster led a small but perfectly-formed group of South Devon AC runners home in the first of the year’s 3k races from the far end of Preston prom back to the Torbay Leisure Centre.

Guest runner Tom Pownall was already home and hosed, but it was Foster who mopped up maximum points among the registered runners for the series.

His time of 12m 52s saw him lead Shaun Kirk home by 54 seconds, followed by James Nash, Steve Wright, James Spalding, Brian Marjoram and Roger Webb.

We are a friendly running club based in Paignton and cater for runners of all abilities and ages. Whether you want to run for fun, fitness or competition we have qualified coaches who can help you achieve your goals.

General Club Information

We meet at Clennon Valley Leisure Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are exceptions, so please contact us before arriving for the first time.

 

  • Tuesdays at 6.25pm to start at 6.30pm
Speed and endurance training
  • Thursdays at 6.35pm to start at 6.45pm
- Run 6-8 miles in groups (medium, fast)
  • Run / walk 4-5 miles - ideal for beginners or for those returning from injury' to 'If you are interested in a 4-5 mile run / walk group, please get in touch
  • Juniors (meet on Mondays between 6-8pm at Churston Ferrers Grammar School.

 

New members are always welcome... come along for a few free trial sessions!
Please note: There is currently a waiting list for Juniors but there are spaces available for U15 and U17 males and females. Please contact us via the 'CONTACT US' web form to find out more.
