5k Velopark parkrun

The Three Amigos, Roux Tucker, Roman Lewis and Theo Green put on a great display of SDAC endurance running at the Velopark on Saturday. They are all 9 yrs old and all achieved great times. Roman secured a new PB coming home 32nd overall and 1st junior U10 in 20:43, Theo was the 2nd U10 and 63rd overall with a new PB of 22:37 with Roux supporting and bagging the 3rd U10 place and 64th overall also in 22:37.

Junior parkrun

Sunday saw the 2k Junior parkrun and Roux steamed over the line in 2nd place with a new PB of 7.29. Theo came 8th in 8:13, Georgina White 15th with a new PB of 8:30, Jacob Levett 16th in 8:35 – also a new pb, Ava Green 22nd in 8:51 and Faith Levett 51st with a new PB too of 11:34. Over 120 ran!

South West Athletic League

Sunday also saw 6 atheles compete in the 3rd South West Athletic League at Exeter Arena. Isla Perry remains on fire and won the 100m in 12.59 and also the Uu15F 300m race and added the South West league 300m record to her Inter Counties, English Schools and British records collection.

Fynn was a fine second in the u13B 75m hurdles and 8th in the high jump. Melisa secured a new PB in hammer and 6th place, and also 12th place in a competitive javelin competition. George Gardiner was 5th in shot with a nice series of throws and his brother Henry came 8th in a very large and competitive 1500m race.

Final and amazing performance by Richard Perry, Isla’s dad in the 2000m steeple chase. Richard was 7th with a solid time, taking all the jumps in his stride!

We are a friendly running club based in Paignton and cater for runners of all abilities and ages. Whether you want to run for fun, fitness or competition we have qualified coaches who can help you achieve your goals.

General Club Information

We meet a Clennon Valley Leisure Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the following times:

 

  • Tuesdays at 6.25pm to start at 6.30pm
Speed and endurance training
  • Thursdays at 6.35pm to start at 6.45pm
- Run 6-8 miles in groups (medium, fast)
  • Run / walk group 4-5 miles – ideal for beginners or for those returning from injury
  • Juniors (meet on Mondays between 6-8pm at Churston Ferrers Grammar School.

 

New members are always welcome... come along for a few free trial sessions!
Please note: There is currently a waiting list for Juniors but there are spaces available for U15 and U17 males and females. Please contact us via the 'CONTACT US' web form to find out more.
